Pretty sure Divine wasn't being a pompous high freaking horse, ok? He just stated a fact, that this thread is pretty pointless.

seeing as you know then, i'm gonna ask you a question. Is Blessed Light getting a 5 energy cost -5energy if hex is removed buff?

if i'm wrong, please still say yes for it would make me truely happy. I know, it's sad how easy it is to please me.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Weaken_Knees - Terrible elite...

Most necro elites are decent, all though some need to be tweaked, especially in blood magic.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Amity - lol

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Mark_of_Protection - even worse

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Boon_Signet - weak, too little heal and energy for 1 sec cast

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Life_Barrier - sad when life bond is used over this for energy management

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ray_of_Judgment - since when do we see enemy minions in pve or pvp?

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Unyielding_Aura - cool skill, but totally useless in pvp

I'll stop there...

Where to begin...

So many definitions, so little time. I could very well have meant an alloy comprised of copper and tin used until the mid 1800's to create mirrors...the reference may, then, have referred to "reflecting" upon the topic of the OP...but, that would be pretty obscure.

I may have also meant the bright plumage on the inner part of the wings of some birds. This, then, might refer to the feather itself, which when trimmed properly becomes a quill pen with which one might choose to write a response to the OP...since the advent of the computer keyboard, this is not only obscure, but also quite unlikely.

Could this, then, refer to the quarterly journal published by the Medieval Academy of America, the oldest journal devoted exclusively to the Middle Ages? If so, I suppose it might me used as reference material to support some harebrained idea a responder might have about keeping GW in line with the genre from which it was created...probably would be a weak argument and the terribly obscure reference would go well past the understanding of the average poster (including myself)...would more than likely be misconstrued as a political statement about the current state of affairs with the gaming industry in general and would likely result in a flame-war causing this and several other threads to be summarily closed.

Alas...we are left with the obvious. While a gynocological grimmace may twist the grins of many of our female members, please note that this particular medical instrument may be used by medical professionals to gaze within the body cavities of both men and women. While nasal specula exist, I was thinking about a little something different. My particular thought was without gender bias, leaving the gazing to be done into a certain orifice from which many threads may seem to originate.

I'm not saying they are neccissarily "shitty" or that the authors require surgery to remove their heads from that particular area...plainly put, I'm saying that because topics such as these are without reference material from which one might form an adequate response, the only way in which a respondent might acquire information is to pull it from their ass...hence the need for the speculum.

[Life Sheath]

PvE version could EASILY become something along the lines of "For X...Y...Z seconds, damage from the next A...B...C sources is negated."

A heal cap in PvE is terrible, especially considering the damage output in HM, but the skill could easily be strong with the description if altered.

thank you, THANK YOU for being one of the few that notice this besides me.

on topic, I'd love to see at least a fourth of the elites that we pretty much can't use get reworked/buffed into some sort of play (it'd be nice if some were for pvp too... seeing as its as stale as Holy's ego).

nominees (for now :P):

Aura of Faith
Rav Gaze
Tease (rework?)
Primal Rage (classic!)
Archers Sig (moved?)
Quick Shot (pve?)
Onslaught possibly
Para elites in general need a bit of love
Mirror of Ice
small buff to Boon sig maybe (in pve)

Skills that need to be buffed/reworked ?
Well... A LOT. I would mention them but it would really take too much of my time and i really plan to do something this weekend, at least sleep. So ill leave to A.Net. It's not like they really listen when we say "buff some underpowered skills please"... well, they do, after 2 years.
Dont wanna sound like a ungrateful son of a %*#@$ but yes, it did took too much time.

Yea and... buff all these skills already, rework Ursan Blessing already, rework Hall of Monuments already, rework titles already. Do this until the end of the month (i know you can) and focus 100% on Guild Wars 2, okay? Okay! Great! Ill send you a present on chirstmas and we will all be a happy family! After that maybe i can let you come over my place to eat chocolate and play lego!

I'm guessing they'll buff only the elites that no one cares about and make them still underpowered so they aren't used.

For example, instead of reworking 100 blades, which people have been asking for for years... Volfan blessing and Raven Blessing are going to be buffed but not so much people will ditch ursan.

Change back Sig of Ghostly Might so it instakills after 10 secs.

I don't really think it's overpowered...well, maybe change it to target loses 98% of their health. Sounds pretty balanced to me.

Well, NOT in terms of people actually playing PvP - but rather in terms of it being a PvP change?

Although we are not making major PvE-related balance changes this time, we are working on a larger PvE-focused update. We are currently testing changes to Ursan Blessing and PvE-only skills. One of the goals is to balance Ursan such that players can still use it as long as they do so in a tactical way. Another goal is to alter the grind currently associated with many PvE-only skills. Additionally, we are adjusting a number of underpowered and rarely used elite skills. Depending on how testing goes, some or all of these changes may be released as soon as next month.
Since the change is mentioned in connection with the PvE update I figured it was going to be PvE only.

And it would help all the poor "casual" players to get somewhere!

Ursan is going to be beat to death with the nerf bat, and it will be lulz in Riverside. Oh, the horror of that day. Guru will probably explode from the mass QQ thread creation. Going to be a long day....

The question is why stop at just Elite skills that are underused?

There are plenty of regular skills that have been in need of a buff since day one.

[Warrior's Cunning] needs a buff, even just a reduction in recharge, to make it useable in PvE where you face mob after mob of blocking foes.

Yes, the Elite Skill change is PvE only, I am pretty sure, cause it is in the PvE update paragraph.

Also if you want to know what gets buffed look at every elite that sucks but would make the game easy mode if it got buffed.

o wait thats all of the bad elites LOL!

If they kill the non-core classes in PvP the update will be fine.
